Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort

Whistler Blackcomb is undoubtedly one of North America’s top ski resorts which is not surprising when you consider there is skiing and riding on two huge mountains, over 8000 skiable acres, more than 200 trails, a vertical drop of over 1500m, and an average snowfall of 33.5 feet per year! It is the largest ski resort in Canada, and winter sports lovers throughout the country and from across the world dream of skiing and snowboarding in Whistler at least once. With the huge variety in terrain, from easy beginner slopes to long cruising blue runs perfect for intermediates, to powder bowls and steep chutes, there is abundant terrain to suit all ability levels, and there are 17 mountain restaurants and cafes where you can refuel. With convenient locations near the base of both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, Spicy Sports offers high performance ski and snowboard rentals with the flexibility of being able to swap equipment as the snow conditions change, meaning that you will always have the perfect ride whether you are hitting the fresh powder or doing some high speed cruising on the groomed runs. Whistler Golf Courses

During the summer, one of the major reasons people come to Whistler is to play golf at one or more of the outstanding golf courses surrounded by the beauty of the Coast Mountains.
Conveniently located just a stone’s throw from Whistler Village Whistler Golf Club offers a par 71 18-hole course designed by Arnold Palmer.
Located in the Upper Village, Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club is a par 72, 18 hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., and is the only golf course owned by a hotel in Whistler.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Nicklaus North Golf Course is a par 71, 18 hole course located just a short drive from Whistler Village.
Finally, Big Sky Golf & Country Club offers a par 72 course in Pemberton, BC, 25 minutes north of Whistler.
Golf courses in Whistler are generally open from early May to early October.

Horsedrawn Sleigh Rides

Blackcomb Sleighrides offer horse drawn sleigh rides on beautiful forest trails with impressive views of Whistler by night from Blackcomb Mountain. The sleighs are pulled by friendly Percheron horses who are always happy to have their photo taken, and a stop in a cozy mountain cabin for hot chocolate by the fire is the perfect way to stay warm!

Heliskiing

Coast Range Heliskiing offer backcountry heliskiing and heliboarding excursions in the spectacular Coast Mountain Range of British Columbia. Mountain Biking in Whistler

Mountain bikers of all ability levels will be impressed by the huge network of trails throughout Whistler Valley and if you want to avoid the climb, from mid May to early October, the lifts at Whistler Blackcomb are open for mountain bikers to access Whistler Mountain Bike Park, a network of over 200km of trails including easy, intermediate, advanced, and expert terrain. If you don’t want to bring your own bike, there are several places which offer bike rentals and there are also guided mountain bike tours and lessons available. Many Whistler hotels are bike friendly and offer secure storage with cameras and motion detectors in place – some even offer a bike wash and tuning station.

Hiking in Whistler

Whistler is internationally known for world class skiing among majestic peaks and sparkling glaciers, and that same alpine terrain provides a stunning backdrop for the wide variety of hiking trails which emerge during the summer months. For an easy journey into the alpine, the Peak to Peak Alpine Experience takes you from Whistler Village to access over 50km of scenic hiking trails high up on both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, as well as providing awe inspiring views from the gondola itself.
